iM Media Labs Adds TuneIn to Unified, Vehicle-Native Media Platform

Partnership will bring TuneIn’s extensive collection of live sports, news, music, podcasts and radio to the iM Media Hub, enabling seamless content discovery and personalized recommendations.

Stingray has published the primary announcement: Stingray Announces TuneIn Partnership with iM Media Labs

The integration will enable automakers to offer drivers direct access to TuneIn’s live sports, news, music, podcasts and radio through a native, OEM-branded in-vehicle experience without requiring phone projection.

“Media Hub is built to give drivers one intuitive place to access the entertainment they enjoy most. Adding TuneIn significantly expands that choice, bringing more than 100,000 radio stations, live sports, news, music and podcasts into a consistent experience designed around each automaker’s brand.”

John Jasper, Founder, President and COO of iM Media Labs

The iM Media Hub brings together music, radio, podcasts, news, sports, audiobooks, video and other entertainment from multiple providers in one seamless, personalized experience. Through AI-powered recommendations, the platform helps listeners discover new stations, shows and podcasts.

Existing TuneIn listeners will also be able to access their “Favorites” and “Recently Played” content directly through the vehicle, making it easy to pick up where they left off when moving between devices.

“Automotive is a key growth area for TuneIn, and this partnership is another step in making our content available wherever drivers choose to listen. iM Media Labs shares our vision for delivering exceptional in-vehicle audio experiences, and together we’re making it easier for listeners to discover and enjoy live audio content on the road.”

As part of the agreement, eligible new users accessing TuneIn through participating iM Media Hub deployments will receive a free trial of TuneIn Premium. TuneIn Premium offers commercial-free news and music channels, fewer ads across more than 100,000 radio stations, unlimited listening to more than 100,000 audiobooks and live sports coverage.

TuneIn, Stingray’s streaming audio platform, is the world’s largest platform for live radio, with more than 75 million monthly active users across 122 countries. The partnership extends TuneIn’s automotive reach through a vehicle-native platform designed to integrate with vehicle systems and adapt to each automaker’s brand, interface and business model.
